I came here for breakfast with my dad on his recommendation and we both loved this place! I cannot start my review with anything else before noting how excellent and nice the customer service is here!! Our waiter was so polite and attentive! This feels and is decorated like an old school mom and pop breakfast restaurant and it just warmed my heart. Veggie Omelette w/ waffles 4.5/5, this was so big and filling! I liked the veggie omelette that was jam packed with freshly cooked veggies but it had a bit too much cheese for my preference. The waffles are to die for omg they are light and fluffy and the waitress brought over some fresh strawberry jam that paired so beautiful with the waffles. Blueberry waffles 5/5, my dad ordered this and he was obsessed! it does come w a heavy dose of whipped cream but you can remove this to your preference
What can I say about More Thank Waffles. If you love waffles you will love it here. If you are into pancakes, not worry they serve it here too! You can't go wrong here. Portions are very generous. Staff are always friendly & this place does get very busy on the weekends. They have indoor & outdoor seating. Highly recommend.
I've been going here for years and it's never been bad. Yes, they do have Waffles which are great but I love their omelettes. I've introduced many a friend to this place and they all come away wanting to go back and bring friends of theirs. The staff is always friendly. The restaurant has a good feel about it with a cool decor inside. Just go and enjoy.
More than waffles, is and will always be the breakfast place I bring anyone to or recommend. The food never disappoints! I have learned to join the waitlist before leaving my house because the whole valley and I love this place!! Pictured: Lox Benedict: Delicious, hollandaise sauce. Generous amount of lox and perfect amount of capers. Egg was cooked perfectly! 2 big G combos: Delicious!! Eggs were cooked as requested, potatoes were crispy but still soft. Plain waffles: my go to for the end of my meal! I love to drizzle butter and add their homemade jam and just savor each bite! I will always love this place, it is so dear to my heart. I've been coming here since I was in elementary school (over 15 years) !!! I also love and appreciate the owner always checking in with tables making sure they are enjoying their meal !
I was visiting a friend who lives in the area who suggested we come for the waffles. Since it was a weekday and we arrived before noon, there was no wait but it was still busy. We both ordered an omelet with waffle (Mediterranean for her, Popeye for me). The food came out quickly and was fresh, well seasoned and generous portions. I enjoyed their house salsa on my omelet...it's got a great kick to it! And the strawberry preserves were delicious! I ate the preserves with my waffle...some whipped cream would have made it amazing but I'm trying to watch my fat intake. I live in OC so I probably won't be back too often but I would definitely recommend the waffles here! And our omelets were very good too! If you ever open up in Orange County, I'll be there!
This is our go to breakfast place. It's always pretty busy on the weekends so best to put your name in and expect to wait around, or you can probably put your name in before you head out to the restaurant as well if you time it right. I always get the triple G because it has a little of everything I want. They always provide fresh jam and salsa for free which are excellent additions to the breakfast. The service is always great here despite it always being busy. My only complaint is it's pretty cramped in the restaurant but it's not that big of a deal
This is a great brunch spot in Encino! The food is absolutely delicious and has big serving sizes. It was pretty busy for a weekday but all the staff were very friendly and the service was quick overall. I would definitely come back! Bonus, there's a huge parking lot!
I know that the name is More Than Waffles, which bodes well for people who don't like waffles... but I do, and I really wanted to try one from here. The restaurant is in a sort of unexpected place, in my estimation. I definitely didn't realize that the mall here spans back a ways. The big open courtyard is where MTW is, which offers plenty of outdoor seating as well and indoor. I got the strawberry waffle and... wow. I just loved it. I feel like I've had Belgian waffles in the past that were pretty good, but this one was just crispy and fluffy and delicious in ways that can't be beat. Plus the sliced strawberries and the strawberry topping that comes on the side were fresh and delicious. I've told my friends already, so now I'm telling Yelp: you've gotta try this place.
Was here yesterday. Great service, cute ambiance and tasty food! Our waitress (I should've gotten her name) was very attentive and friendly. The food came out so quickly and everything was delicious. We've only been here a couple times, but will be back again. I would Definitely recommend this place!
More Than Waffles is an unique breakfast establishment located on the ground floor of the Encino Town Center mall. If you take the back side entrance and head down the parking garage to level 1, park there and walk toward the courtyard and you'll undoubtedly come upon a lot of people waiting for breakfast/brunch, especially on the weekends. Definitely get your name on the waiting list as soon as possible or the wait can get long. The ambiance is kind of a combination of an underground garden meets your grandmother's dining room. There's not a lot of natural light if you wind up sitting inside, but you're not here for the ambiance. You're here for the food. More specifically you're here for their waffles. It's decadent and delicious with all kinds of toppings which will definitely spike your blood sugar. However, if you're not into sweets you're still taken care of as they have an extensive classical brunch menu of eggs cooked to order and traditional breakfast items. Was it the best waffle I've ever tasted? Probably not, but then again it's all subjective. What I can say is you will definitely leave here full...most likely taking a doggie bag home with you. If that's what you're looking for then hands down More Than Waffles will meet your needs and even exceed them.
